In March 2009 I had this idea of making soil art but wanted to incorporate paint and canvas as well. I knew of these interesting soils on the east side of Montreal Lake SK that had bands of soil carbon through them. Still a bit of a mystery as to how they got there but it provided a unique place for capturing these intriguing profiles.
